In high school I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout by securing funds and helping to resurface my commnuties only tennis court.
I placed 8th place at 160 pounds in the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament. I am in the bottom photo on the left side. My father placed fifth and is in the top photo on the right side.
The last few years I have been able to volunteer at my hometown's annual community festival, "Lawler Irish Fest". I also made maps accompanying the festival used by workers and festival goers. These maps can be seen by clicking on the festival logo to the right.
Since graduating high school I have had several opportunities to go and talk with jr. high and high school classes and always enjoy opportunities to do so. I had the opportunity to talk about GIS with high school classes at Edina High School with members of my university student group, GISSO. I also had the opportunity to talk about GIS and also more specifically agricultural applications with high school and jr. high classes where I went to school, Turkey Valley Community School.
